Rising Star in Geotechnical Engineering

Jinhyun has been selected as a Rising Star in Geotechnical Engineering by Frontiers in Built Environment, which recognizes early-career individuals for notable research achievements related to geotechnical engineering. The award selection committee is led by Professor Jie Han, the current president of the ASCE Geo-Institute. As part of the award, Jinhyun published a journal article summarizing his work on phase-field modeling of geologic fractures (Link: doi:10.3389/fbuil.2024.1378966).
