Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology (Y-KAST) Member

Jinhyun has been elected as one of the 20 new members of the Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology (Y-KAST).

Y-KAST members are selected from young scientists under the age of 43 who have outstanding academic achievements. The evaluation focuses on achievements made as independent researchers in Korea after obtaining a doctorate, and the final selection is made from the next-generation science and technology leaders who are likely to significantly contribute to the development of science and technology in the country.

Jinhyun has been recognized for his contributions to computational simulation of deformation, failure, and multiphysical processes in geomaterials and their application to the understanding, prediction, and management of geosystems.
